Structure and Significance Of Argument Name of Student: Course: Date: STRUCTURE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF ARGUMENT Introduction An argument is the exchange of opposite views about a given action in order to convince people that an action is either right or wrong. In most cases someone else has given their conclusions on the argument and one tries to prove that the conclusions are either right or wrong in relation to how they feel about the action. An argument is made up of premises and conclusions. In an argument, the philosopher tries to support their conclusion on something through the use of premises. Although most arguments end up leading to chaos it is a good way of reaching a conclusion where many people are in agreement. He thinks that we are dedicated to the common knowledge that the future will be similar to the history only that we are not sensibly vindicated in retaining this belief because reasoning as a tool is weaker than we could have imagined. He goes further to support his argument by using a number of premises. Firstly, he argues that he might know many facts through sensory experience but the fact that her ally is in Germany or that the sun will show up tomorrow is an unobserved experience and is known through a process of cause and effect like his friend being in France might have been a fact he knew through receiving a letter and about the sun rising tomorrow might be because the sun has risen in the past times. He sums up that our understanding of causes and effects should be founded on experience since we conclude future phenomena from what happened in the past. Secondly, he uses demonstrative reasoning supporting relationship of clues and the moral reasoning supporting issues of truth. Helping Others in Need Essay I have chosen to write about my mother having a car accident, which had changed her life and all of those around her. Back in 2002 my mom was a nurse and a very happy and adventures person, she loves the outdoors and especially being able to travel and go anywhere she wanted to without any restrictions. But everything changed after she suffered a car accident. I can remember the day it happened like it was yesterday. On January 10, of 2003 the streets of Brighton were very snowy and the visibility for the car drivers was very bad. My mom went to work like every morning and she left the house around 8:00 a. m. and headed out. She was walking her way down Commonwealth Avenue to catch the train, the Green B Line but suddenly a car struck her from behind and sent her to the other side of the street. She was taken to the San Elizabeths Hospital in Brighton where in a bed at the Internal Care Unit; she spend more than six months unconscious. When she finally woke up she did not recognized anybody at first that wasnt the worse part of all; the worse news were that she couldnt move her legs at all and that besides everything she had a tumor in her brain that cant be removed because of the location and if the doctors will try to operate, she wouldnt make it out the surgery alive. Time passed and finally towards the end of June of 2003 she was send home but everything changed after her return; she wasnt the same person anymore physically or mentally, her attitude completed change it was like talking to a stranger or another person. She wouldnt smile anymore or talk to others only if she needed something; but she wouldnt ask in a pleasant way. She will demand and had a way to talk to others that instead of making them feel sorry about her situation the only thing that they will feel is to stay away and dont return to see her again. When she looked at herself in a wheelchair and her hair was cut shorter because of the injuries in her head. She was sad and very angry at the same time; angry at GOD because she was still alive when she couldnt do or be the same person she just to be. Angry at the person who hit her that day because he couldnt avoid hitting her sending her to the hospital. Angry at everyone and everything around her because she said that we didnt know or understand what was happening to her. Also she regretted every single day of her life; the day that she had decided to come to the United States, that if it wasnt because of us my brothers and myself; she wouldnt be here and she would had that car accident. After she came home me and my brothers were debating how to take turns to be able to care for her since, she refuses to let the hospital nurse take care of her or any other stranger. Finally my mom made her own decision that only I could take care of her. My brothers could help, but only with a few things. Otherwise, I had to do most of it. And so by the end of June I started to take care of her but I didnt realized how much time, effort, and especially patience I had to have and spend in order to meet her expectations. At that same time I was going to school and I was recently married. My life started to become sort of a night mare; not only I had to move in with my mom but her and my husband really didnt get along very well so he has to stay at our house and me I had to go to my moms, that was very hard first because I couldnt see my husband during the week only during the weekends for a few hours because he has to work and go to school too. Time was passing by and by the end of September of 2003 I made an important decision that I have to teach my mom an important lesson that was going to be very valuable for her and myself; to depend on herself again, to believe in GOD again, to trust others with her care and to seek help maybe from a professional. I sit down in the living room and had a very long conversation with her and my brothers. Everyone looked at me like a bad person at the beginning because they thought that I was quitting in my mom; but not in the contrary I was teaching her the importance of realizing that if she was alive is because of a reason. That live dont stop because you can walk; that there are so many people that are in worse situations and they have faith and hope to begin a new chapter in their lives again so she can do it too. In the beginning, she refused and cried a lot and said so many bad words. She blamed my husband because she was going to be by herself, and because she would need to ask for help from outsiders. So I made a decision I move back to my house with my husband and I went every day to her house to do the shores, to take care of her, to do the cooking and cleaning. Also I made her go back to the hospital with me and start her physical therapy again, she wasnt too happy about it but she understood that starting again wasnt a bad thing. Deep inside me I knew it wasnt going to be easy but if she let her guard down and realized that there is more to life than just complaining and asking why me, or blaming others for your situation her life can be much better if she only tries. After a couple of years, by the beginning of 2008. A positive attitude, lots of patience, tons of communication, dedication, a couple of surgeries, and lots of physical therapy. I can happily said that she is walking again with a cane by her side but she is doing much better than 10 years ago. Still she dont like hospitals or going to doctors appointments but she has understand that her health is changing because of her age. In this particular story, the mediocre activity of having a bath becomes a hugely difficult task for the woman as she struggles to get out once finished. The main themes portrayed in this story are: loneliness, the plight of the elderly and helplessness. The theme of loneliness is shown through the graves. One of the only things the old woman can do now is visit the graves of her loved ones as she has no other way to remember them and no people left in her life to provide company for her. She plants flowers on their graves showing tender care and talks to the graves as if they were living people. These actions make the reader feel sorry for the old lady, and the companionship she gets from the graves shows just how lonely she really is. This leads to the next theme, the plight of the elderly. Partway through the story it becomes apparent that the old woman cannot get herself out of the bath as a result of her weakened, elderly body. This proves to be incredibly frustrating for the old woman as this really is a very simple task but try as she might she simply cannot get out of the bath. As well as feeling sorry for the old woman the reader also begins to feel scared for her as she is all alone and cannot call for help. The author also uses symbolism to help get across the message of the old woman’s plight. The bath is described as being in a dilapidated state and this parallels the state of the woman’s frail body as she struggles to pull herself out of the bath. This in turn leads to the last and possibly most important theme; helplessness. In the prior paragraphs I have talked about all the things that have happened to the old woman but the one important factor that links them all together is that she is powerless to change any of it. Her body is failing her and she can’t help it, all her loved ones are dead and she can’t help it, and most of all, she is dying too, and she can’t help it. Symbols of death are all around her. The cemetery, a decaying house, and the bath. Being trapped in the bath makes it coffin-like, representing where she will eventually lie forever. The story of the old woman makes us fully aware of what growing old is really like. It is not graceful or fun, it is scary and lonely.

Any of these secondary metabolites, singly or in combination with others could be responsible for the anti-diabetic activity of the plant.There was a dose-dependent increase in percentage inhibitory activity against alphaamylase enzyme. At a concentration of 0. 2 ml of plant extract showed a percentage inhibition 27. 8% and for 1. 0 ml plant extract showed inhibition of 96. 3% (Table 2). The Psidium guajava methanol extract revealed a significant inhibitory action of alpha-glucosidase enzyme. The percentage inhibition at 0. 2-1. 0 ml concentrations of Psidium guajava extract showed a dose dependent increase in percentage inhibition. Lack of insulin affects carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism (Rajiv Gandhi and Sasikumar, 2012). Management of diabetes without side effects is still challenge to the medical community. It was proposed that inhibition of the activity of such alpha-amylas e and alpha-glucosidase would delay the degradation of carbohydrate, which would in turn cause a decrease in the absorption of glucose, as a result the reduction of postprandial blood glucose level elevation (Rhabaso Lhoret and Chiasson, 2004).In the present study, research has been carried out to evaluate the preliminary phytochemical investigation and the potential of methanol extract of Psidium guajava leaf in inhibiting alpha-glucosidase and alpha-amylase. The present finding of Phytochemical screening of the plant extract confirmed the presence of several bioactive compounds like alkaloids, flavones, tannins and phenols which could be responsible for the versatile medicinal properties of this plant. The present finding reveals that Psidium guajava efficiently inhibits both alpha18 mylase and alpha-glucosidase enzymes in vitro in a dose dependent manner. The aqueous extracts from Syzygium cumini seeds and Psidium guajava leaves both showed a dose dependent inhibitory effect on a lpha-amylase activity (Karthic et al. , 2008). The antidiabetic action of Psidium guajava can also be attributed to the intestinal alpha-amylase and alphaglucosidase inhibitory activity. Further studies are required to elucidate whether Psidium guajava have antidiabetic potential by in vivo for validating the traditional claim of the plant.In this present study we evaluated in vitro alpha amylase and alpha glucosidase activity of crude methanol extract of Psidium guajava leaves. The plant showed significant inhibition activity, so further the compound isolation, purification and characterization which is responsible for inhibiting activity, has to be done for the usage of antidiabetic agent. Women, particularly Lucille Ball, can tell a complete story without husbands. I’m going to make walk out of here one day, and i’ll make it up to you all i swear†. His tone can be expressed as serious and the repetition of I informs us he is taking responsibility. Using the two also allow us to understand Daniel as a character better. From this we can tell, hes determined to make a change, he is strong, and he is willing and accepting. As a consequence of Daniel Moving into the world he has to accept that he has done something wrong which he is accepting here, its part of his consequence to feel the guilt from his actions, but he will manage to get through it if he stands by his word. Biggie smalls uses a prologue as a technique to set the tone of the song. The Weavers of Peace in Beowulf and Grendel Queen Wealhtheow and Queen Hygd served as excellent role models for the courts in which they served. They exemplified the mannerisms and etiquette of the noble people. Queen Wealhtheow showed excellent poise from the very beginning of both texts. She was admirable as she passed the mead bowl around Heorot. The offering of the bowl was symbolic, being that the bowl was first given to Hrothgar and then passed to Beowulf, as if she presented him with her trust. Beowulf gave Wealhtheow his guarantee that he would be successful or die in battle. After she presented Hrothgar and Beowulf with the mead bowl she served the Scyldings, and did so as if they were her own people. She was not a Scylding, nor did she desire to be one, but she never made her unhappiness known, as described in Grendel. There is not great detail on Queen Hygd in Grendel, but from what the reader can gather from Beowulf, she is as much of a female role model as Queen Wealhtheow. She was young but very intelligent. In f act King Hygelac felt intimidated by Hygd’s intelligence. In both texts, Beowulf and Grendel, the main purpose of the Queens are to serve the courts as "weavers of peace.† In Grendel, however, Queen Wealththeow is described in much greater detail and serves a further purpose. The reader gains insight to a part Grendel that is not present in Beowulf, his desire for a human. For even though in Beowulf and Grendel, the main purpose of the queens is to serve the courts as â€Å"weavers of peace,† the queens also serve other purposes as role models, preservers of their kingdoms, emotional beings, mother figures and objects of beauty and lust. It was not unusual for women to be offered as tokens of peace within the noble courts. In the novel Grendel, Wealhtheow's brother, King of the Helmings, bestowed her to King Hrothgar to promote peace amongst the Helmings and Scyldings. "She had given, her life for those she loved. So would any simpering, eyelash batting female in her court, given the proper setup, the minimal conditions"(Grendel 102). It is ironic how she promoted peace from her arrival because she was an essential part in keeping peace, as the "weaver of peace" in both texts. Queen Wealhtheow however is not the only woman in the texts that was forsaken to encourage appeasement among feuding courts.

The  drag and drop design for creating the user interface is derived from a prototype form generator develop by Alan Cooper and his company called Tripod. It would include the all process of company  wherein the proponents will be making an Inventory System with POS for Miguel’s Home Merchandise. The proponents will be making use of the following software to come up with the system: Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access for the database.

My academic career was not at all a bed of roses and as I am about to remind all the history of it then I am feeling very much nostalgic. The first hurdle which I can remember was appeared when I was in standard 1. At that time my mother had faced a severe accident. She was in bed for a whole year. At that time I was a kid and I was completely dependent on her so I was in severe distress. I had to study with the help of my father but he was also unable to give much time for me as the other responsibilities were on him completely.Then he decided to send me to a tutor’s house for my study. But what I should tell about that lady!!! She never used to give any time to me to complete my homework moreover her daughter used to give all her own homework to me to do. Every day in school I used get punishment for not doing the homework but as they also were aware about my home’s condition so they never used to give me any hard punishment. Gradually after a year my mom recovered an d I got back my good marks in all subjects.From then I have decided to become a tutor and decided to be polite and lovable and ideal for my every student. From the beginning of my career I was very much ambitious. I have done my schooling from Holy Child Girls’ High School till my 10th Grade and after that I have done my +2 studies from Patha Bhavan, Kolkata. Throughout my school life I was a very good student according to my teachers. After finishing my school I have done Physics Honours from Calcutta University. And finally I did my Master of Computer Application from West Bengal University of Technology.Finally before 4 years from now I have started my career as a software developer and also before that I have started my career as an online Mathematics Tutor.
